Questions about warming up.
Hello all,
I'm new here. I was just wondering what is the proper way to warm up and how long to warm up to do the Simple Fit workout routine? Also should I do some stretching or just the warm ups?
I think from what I have read that the warm ups are is just the Simple Fit workut plan but at a slower pace is that right? I hope someone here can help me with these questions. Thanks.

Re: Questions about warming up.
My warm up usually takes about 2 minutes, but I have a history of shoulder problems. I could easily see someone be ready after a single minute of arm circles and slow squats. Despite what generations of PE teacher have told us, stretching before exercise does not reduce the chance of injury, and produces a short term weakening of the muscle. You are better off stretching after exercise, or at an unconnected time.

Re: Questions about warming up.
I do:
- 10 arm circles forward, per arm
- 10 arm circles backward, per arm
- 10 arm circles forward, both arms
- 10 arm circles backward, both arms
- 10 shoulder dislocations

Based on what I've read, static stretching before exercise will produces short term weakening of the muscle. Dynamic stretching, however, will get you warmed up without weakening the muscle (it's also fun). I do about 5 -10 min of dynamic stretching before a workout and save the static stretching for after or off days. Keep in mind that it's suggested not to static stretch a cold muscle so you should still do some light activity before any static stretching routine if you decide to do it on off days.

I do 12 minutes swinging clubs like this http://mymadmethods.com/exercise-databa ... -exercises
Not all the exercises but some of them.
I've also read that static stretching is not good before workout.
It makes sense to me and I never understood this mode of stretching before running or swimming or anything.
So I always do my stretching after my session.

Any bodyweight exercise. jumping jacks, burpees, push-ups, lunges, squat jumps, etc. I only do low reps during the warm-up because I don't want to burn out for the workout.

Re: Questions about warming up.
I too have these warm ups. Jumping jacks, lunges, squat jumps, at place jumping, etc. Hey but i want to ask that after having warm up, can we have some body challenge? I got to hear that with the body challenges we workout more properly and more intentionally. Is that so? I got it from this site. (www.cellublue.com/fr/wonder_body_guide.php)
