Fast Food

Post by brent_corkins »

Hi! Just curious what other's do when stuck in the situation where you have to eat fast food. Like today i was stuck on the road at lunch time in my delivery truck. So i didnt have a way to warm up my lunch. So i stopped at Taco Bell and got a couple of fresco grilled steak taco. I am trying to follow the Simplefit diet. So I figure it is very "Zone-ish". So I just try to remember what Zone freindly meal I can and get them, or a grilled chicken sandwich or a subway wrap. What are some others opinions?

There are zone suggestions for this. I don't know them because I don't have to eat out that often. When I do, I usually just call it a cheat meal.

McD' grilled southwestern chk salad with extra meat and a small fry is close to zone balanced.

I think a plain McDs Cheese Burger is also zone balanced - 3 blocks?

The gov should tax unhealthy food, alcohol, and cigarettes to offset the extra medical costs created by these things.

In reality they subsidize unhealthy food. The others they do tend to tax.
