Modifying SimpleFit to slow weight loss.

Post by KaosStorm »

Hey guys, Kaos here.

So, after 9 months or so I went from 207lb to 160lb and I have finally reached my weight goal. Now my question is, if I want to keep doing Simplefit (or any other excercise for that matter) how do I stop or reduce the rate at which I'm losing weight? Right now, I'm looking pretty good, but unless (methinks) I start some sort of strenght program, to keep doing Simplefit as I have now will only take me down even more on the weight department, as to even look sick or too thin for my body shape.

I was thinking maybe doing on and off weeks of Simplefit (while keeping my 6km walks two times a week intact) to see if it works, but I'm not sure if that's the right way to go. I can't really modify my eating habits since, well, I never did it too radically in the first place: that is, I never stopped eating what I normally ate, I just made my portions smaller.

So, any idea on what's the best course of action? Or am I having the wrong idea and Simplefit won't make me look too skinny and, in a way, will just get me in shape as it should.

Your off to a nice start. Don't let your weight be the end point. I've seen this happen over and over with folks. If you maintain a proper diet your not too likely to lose much more. It's always possible but if you notice too much getting stripped off you need to review the food your eating and adjust appropriately. Make some new goals for your fitness levels and keep progressing! Head for level 8 and move on from there.

I working on an being able to complete the murph wod as rx'd in less than 30 minutes and I do a variety of different things including simplefit/crossfit/weight training. But the goals are always foremost in my mind.

and Congrats!

So, you say that I should keep going as normal and hope to not too much weight. If that's so, I should modify my diet (one I didn't changed much to begin with). I guess I could do that, yes; I'm still taking this week off since I didn't do D1.

I would recommend eating more rather than working out less.
