rather have that elbow checked out sooner than later. trust me, i had biceps tendinitis in my left elbow and it kept me from doing SF for the better part of four months - that's how long it took to heal. i got in august last year and only started training in november again. and the sad part is, it's not properly healed yet. to this day i cannot do a pull-up - my left elbow just wouldn't allow me.

i'm no doctor or medical expert, put trust me, have it checed out!

Week 4
Thursday was L4D3, 5:52

This workout was tough. This was the first time I had trouble with pushups which is funny since I had been doing as many as 100 pushups in the same time frame just before starting simplefit. Maybe doing pullups take that much out of me? Anyway, I really tried to focus on my form this. I noticed in previous D2's that I was rushing to finish instead trying to get the full ROM out of each exercise and therefore achieve the goal of the day; strength. So I changed that around this w/o and my time was pretty high. We'll see how D3 goes.

@Ruli: thanks for the concern. I will look to get it checked out. Takes time to get a doc appt here. I did D2 with no Ill effects, no flare-up. Sorry to hear about your setback. When do you expect it will be healed?

i'ts actually fine now - fine in the sense that i can do chins and neutral grip. it still hurts when i do pull-ups. don't know if it ever will get 100% though.

Week 4

Skipped L4D3 to allow my elbow to rest a bit. I found out that I have a mild case of golfer's elbow. I'm not convinced that it's the pullups that caused it but we'll see.

Week 5 (rest week)

L1D1 - 34 rounds

This is only two more rounds than week 1 so a bit disappointing. Also this was fewer pullups than I did last week. I again struggled a bit (as far as form goes) with my pushups which is still very puzzling, especially since I had absolutely no problems with pushups in Week 1,2, or 3. I can only guess that I may not be eating enough food to really progress in my performance. I'm going to try to eat more food and/or more carbs earlier in the day and see how that goes. Elbow felt good today. No pain during or after workout. I still feel it so I know it's not gone, but I feel like I'm not making it worse.

Week 5
Rest Week L1D2 - 3:38

Today I focused on form which slowed my time from previous L1 performance. Elbow still okay so far. Will keep my fingers crossed.

Week 5

Rest Week

L1D3 (Saturday) -3:11 not a very good result here. I hope that my progression issues are resolved for next week and I progress from my previous L4D1 & D2. If not I'm gonna have to do something else.

Elbow still fine, definitely not worse. It's pretty much stayed the same since I realized it was a problem a couple weeks or so ago.

Week 6

L4D1 - 19 rounds

Better than the last L4D1 by 1 round. I'll take it. Used pretty good form through most of the workout. Let's what the rest of the week brings.

Week 6

L4D3 (Sat.) - 9:00 Had a real problem getting the last 4 pullups in. Had to come down from the bar after two or three unsuccessful but nonetheless equally draining attempts. Arms were dead after the 20 pullups. Had a very hard time getting my pushups done. Toward the end of the pushups, I was getting them in one at a time. Pitiful!!! Lots of room for improvement here. On a good note, managed 7 pullups in a row which is a new PB for me. Looking forward to Week 7 improvements.

Good work hanging in there, and dont fret the time.
The physical progress is the main point so better to do it right than to skimp trying to hit some arbitrary timer, the times will come in time...

And I hear you about the feeling after those first 20, really doesn't leave alot for the pushups.
I'm currently pondering if its worth pushing that first round to the max or if it might be better for the overall time to space it up a bit more evenly.
Ie doing like 8,3,2,1,1,1,1,1,... or something more like 4,4,4,3,3,...

Week 7

Had a busy week this week. My sleep was really off. I missed my workout on Monday and Tuesday so started L4D1 on Wednesday.

L4D1 - 18 rounds. This is the same result as the first time I did L4D1 three weeks ago. One less than last week. I'll attribute it to not wanting to workout this day.

L4D2 - 4:31, I think. I caught myself counting to 12 on my squats one round, instead of 20 (Round 3, I think). I'm not sure if I had been doing it the previous rounds or not. Felt good today. Last week was a bit of a struggle, today went much more smoothly.

Will probably skip D3 and do some barbell lifts but I haven't made up my mind.
