Dolem's log (starting at L1)

Re: Dolem's log (starting at L1)
L4D1 - 20 rounds
Set 20 as a goal but I was worn out at the end. Did a 90 minute bike ride yesterday and I think I was feeling the effects of that.
Diet has been solid, going to try to keep it up this week.

L4D2 8:00 (estimate)
I guess I didn't start my stopwatch right away, so I had to estimate how long the first round took me. Kind of hit a wall, but tried to just power through.

More great work! It looks like you've found your level. Keep at it!
Re: Dolem's log (starting at L1)
Yep, I've found my level. L4D3 - 7:16
Even though I didn't pass, I was excited because my first set was 10 pull-ups. First set of push-ups was 20, I guess my arms were pretty tired since I was able to do 30 straight last week in level 3...

Week 5 - repeating Level 4
L4D1: 21 rounds. Even though I only improved by one round my form on my pull-ups was much better and less "cheaty". It's easy to slip in some cheaty ones when you are doing 2 reps.
Diet: Was good except on the weekend again. Going to push to have a better weekend this week.
Fitness goal: Going to try to figure out a handstand or at least a headstand this week.

Great work. Good luck with the hand/head stands. I have been working on the handstand on and off for about a year now. There are great tips out there on the net. I am excited about the range of body weight workout possibilities when I am able to nail that solidly. Again, good luck to you.
Re: Dolem's log (starting at L1)
My wife started laughing at me when I had her spot me for them (she can do them...). It's kind of hard when you are 215 lbs and have terrible balance. I'm just gonna practice doing it by walking up the wall.
Re: Dolem's log (starting at L1)
Threw in a very slow 1.5 mile "run" that was all uphill and downhill. Haven't run in years so that was fun.

Nice consistent D2 rounds. Welcome back to the world of running. The cardio element will pay off for simplefit as well.
There are certain skills that women more often inherit from their childhoods that we grown-up men wish we could go back in time to take more seriously--cartwheels, hand-stands, jump-rope come to mind.

Kind of shoddy form on the pull-ups, took a step back on those. Overall time improved.

I used Bri326's post as a motivator today. Set a goal of 23 and gave it everything I have. I also used a new strategy for Day 1- I didn't pace myself and sprinted at the beginning, not resting at all over the first 9 minutes.
I was at 28 rounds with a minute left, and said to myself "screw this, I'm doing it":
30 rounds
Woohoo! I improved by 9 rounds this week!

Wow, you slammed through that. Great work.

Way to go...that's huge! It's amazing what a motivator the clock can be when you're out of gas and in the last minute or so of your workout. Nice job!dolem wrote:W6L4D1
