MM's Log

Post by mbmadden2 »

L1 D2- 3:55

L1 D3- 2:43
For this workout I did my pullups in 2 sets of 2, then singles for the rest. My pushups and squats I did unbroken.

Although I am under 5 minutes for both, I am going to do Level 1 again next week. One reason is that I can do the D1 workout. The main reason is because my pullups will be the limiting factor for me for awhile, and I want to give them plenty of time to catch up to my pushups and squats.

Week 2:

Level 1, Day 1- 30 rounds
* I had to stop with about 3 minutes left on the clock because I started ripping a callus, and I didn't want to do to much damage so that I could do the rest of the week's workouts.

Level 1, Day 2- 3:48
* The day 2 workouts I am doing sort of "crossfit" style for now, in that I start the timer, blow through the rounds as quickly as possible, then stop the timer. As I start to progress I will probably start doing them the recommended way as I need more rest between rounds.

Level 1, Day 3- 2:15
*I did the pullups in sets of 1 and 2, mostly kipping as well. The pushups and squats I did unbroken.

Level 2 Day 1: 30 rounds, totals: 30 pullups, 90 pushups, 120 squats

*Instead of standard pullups I did them on parallel bars, so I had a hand on each bar. These felt a little easier for me than standard, but I'm just trying to switch things up to hopefully avoid injuries/overtraining

Level 2 Day 2- 4:47

I did my first round of pullups in a straight set of 3. The rest of the rounds I had to break my pullups into singles. The push ups and squats I did unbroken.

Level 2, Day 3- 3:07

I did an initial set of 3 pullups, the rest came in singles with a 2-4 second rest in between. Most of the pull ups were kipping as well. The push ups and squats were unbroken. On to level 3.

I've decided to start Simplefit back up again. I've been focusing on low rep compound lifting for the past year or so. I've gained a lot of strength but have also put on some weight and my endurance has suffered. I'm planning on alternating days of Simplefit and interval running.

L1D3- 4:08

This was just to gauge where I'm at. Seeing as it was a good bit slower than my last L1D3 workout I will probably start back at level 1.

Level 2 Day 1: I did 20 rounds in 16:54 and then decided to stop there. I haven't done 20 pullups in a workout in a long time and did not want to be to sore the next round.
