- pullups are the problem. pushups and squats were cake. not willing to risk the shoulder so doing nothing but straight pullups. when I can't do em I'm stopping
Been a long time for me. Lots of changes. Left the military, rehabing a really screwed up shoulder. Life BS in general. AFraid to do pullups because of reinjury to shoulder so laid off. But now I'm below ground zero of whatever I did when I first started. Still had pain with an attempted pull up yesterday. still afraid to try em. Essentially thats been my excuse for some time. Decided to do some other things. See if I can continute that for a while and maybe at some point actually get to L7 again. sigh...
Oddly enough started playing with a Wii fitness thing. pretty generic but gonna start slow. anyway did an hour total yesterday including 5 minutes of rowing. (Got a concept II for xmas so thats something) This is my first workout since last entry above and I must say I'm pretty disgusted.
Not much gonna alter that. Moving on. see what happens.
Ok played an April Fools joke on myself. Got up early, worked out, dressed up for work, drove to work, went in there, found out I wasn't scheduled to work today. I am a dork.
Long run today. Scheduled 40 minutes alternating between zone 2 & 3.
There is nothing like running to wake you up. In more ways than one.
Did ok got a massive blister on bottom of my left foot. That hobbled me about a half-hour in. Tried to finish but couldn't.
It was mostly Zone 2 never really got into 3 for the run. Positive side is I actually got up and attempted to run 40 minutes. Haven't done that in a long time. Feels good.
20 min run today. alt 5 min zone 2 and 5 min zone 3.
also did flex program approx 5 min.
Haven't quite figured out the concept of zone 2 & 3 for the run yet. I'm good when it comes to the row as I'm basing the zones on wattage, however, the run is just... go a little faster. Anyway Its first week so no biggie.
Had problems intermittently withpullups. at 9 could barely get chin to bar. had several episodes of that but then I'd get right over on the next one. Using door pullup bar and put feet down stopping the pullup a couple times.
Shoulder seemed kinda twingy. Prbly best way I can explain it. As always finished a workout like this and the shoulder doesn't feel quite right. Have a spasm in trapezius. Hopefully this isn't gonna become a norm.
Did a lot of yoga type stuff after. Can't find anything pilates per the book. guess Im gonna have to go online for that.
