Zazer's Goals and log!

Post by zazer »

Hi everyone! I am 21 years old, 5ft 11inches and 80kg.

I have recently made my self a few resolutions and set myself some goals.

By the 1st June I want to do:

100 press ups in under 2 minutes
20 pulls ups in under 2 minutes
Run 1.5 miles in less than 10 minutes
Swim 50 lengths without stopping
Cycle 10 miles in under 35 minutes

If I can achieve all of the above I will feel so good about my self. I aim to improve by doing SimpleFit 3x a week and following the cardio work outs of the British Army. Lets go!

I have been following SimpleFit on and off now for a few months, at one point I was up to level 3/4ish but I want to start all from the beginning again, ensuring everything I do has the best form possible!

So to start:

L1D1 - 39 rounds in 20 minutes
Jog - 20 minutes

I dragged my brother into this. Pull ups are my worst enemy, I was swapping between overhand and underhand, underhand being far easier. I was trying to start from a dead hang but on occasion I think I just pulled with my arms not fully outstretched. Best thing - squats are no problem at all!

Cheers
Alex

I also rebooted simplefit a short while ago. Currently I am back to level 5. I would venture to say that this program, coupled wit running and swimming for skill work, should help you reach your goals.

For pull-ups, other than day 3, I switch the grip type and location each set. Same for push-ups. I gave myself a spot of tendinitis a while ago and am hoping varying the widths and grip will prevent that. So far, so good.

Nice one, i'll keep that in mind. I guess varying the grips must increase the variety of muscles used as well.
