Life!
Last week I received a termination letter. No reason was given. I was shocked - as were many of my colleagues and students. I am aware that there are some of my coworkers who have been at work to see that this termination took place. I have words for them.
Anyway, I have new opportunities in front of me. I will beef up my CrossFit affiliation, possibly go back for another degree, follow a lead on another teaching job... right now I'm not certain.
Students are in an uproar about my dismissal - it made local news.

Many years ago, back in England, I was told the factory where I worked was going to be closed. I looked for another job and found one here in the U.S. Without that "incentive" I would probably still be in the UK. It turned out to be the best opportunity of my life.
While I'm sure it really sucks right now but I'm confident that your positive attitude will lead you on to bigger and better things.
Your signature "The perfecting of one's self is the fundamental base of all progress and all moral development." says it all!

I was in a similiar situation not too long ago. My former job was going to be rationalized away - and now, my current job is huge improvement.ianjb wrote:Many years ago, back in England, I was told the factory where I worked was going to be closed. It's trite, but these things really are best seen as opportunities. And if you can push though Fran, you can push through this, too.
